Trauma is a past negative experience relived in the present.
Many people assume that if you are not experiencing flashbacks then your past is in the past. However, the truth is that trauma memory can be locked within an emotion, thought pattern, or social interaction. If hard emotions can ambush you or negative thoughts can start harassing you, you are probably experiencing a re-lived trauma trapped within.
It is normal for our minds to have periods of calm and tension, clarity and confusion but if you are experiencing instability in the extreme, something deeper is at play.
Trauma work does not require the unearthing of ancient memories, in fact, you don’t need to know of any traumatic incidents to be suffering from the aftereffects of trauma. If you are feeling the effects of maladaptive feelings, behaviours, or thoughts it is possible they ‘are’ from a bygone era.
Working through trauma can give you a new lease of life for you and generations to follow. You are worth the investment!
Recovery can only take place within the context of relationships; it cannot occur in isolation.
Judith Herman
Do you find yourself getting upset and irritable?
Are you worried, afraid, nervous, on edge, tense, or restless?
Do you find it hard to switch off?
Is your mind always racing?
Do upcoming events or the future play on your mind?
Anxiety is the number one mental health struggle of our generation.
Anxiety is part of the human experience but in excess, it can quickly turn into a nightmare. The struggle with anxiety is compounded by the perceived futility of anxiety. Every sufferer can readily identify a voice inside of them that dismisses the anxiety and sees themselves as weak for being captive to their anxiety. Often it is that voice that keeps the sufferer from reaching out.
I can help you dialogue effectively with your anxiety. Meet your anxiety in a new way and discover a place where your anxiety can no longer hold power over you and experience life in a new light.
Together we can help you climb out of the trappings of your mind and into the experience of life!
Does having strong and lasting relationships seem impossible?
Do you feel misunderstood or disrespected?
Do you feel lonely?
Is your marriage failing?
It hurts to struggle to get along with the people we care about the most. It is so easy to get into a negative cycle and wear the fibres of our relationships thin. The humbling truth is that we all long for deep connection with the ones we love most, and we deny that longing or settle for less out of a painful necessity.
Learn how you can affect your social situation. Feel empowered in your relationships. Get the love you want. Become comfortable in your own skin and find within yourself the warmth of connection.
Do you find it hard to feel enthusiasm?
Do you feel disconnected from those around you?

Would you describe your situation as hopeless?
For some depression is like a relentless bully, suffocating them as they try to live their lives. For others, it can feel like a hole in the fuel tank draining their energy and relationships.
Reaching out for help often feels useless!
In therapy, you can change your inner dialogue, and learn to speak to yourself with kindness and compassion. I will hold your hand and guide you out of the bubble of depression helping you connect to your strengths and develop self-respect!
“The only person with whom you have to compare yourself is you in the past.”
Sigmund Freud
Do you struggle to assert yourself?
Do you feel guilty saying no?
Do you struggle to hold onto positive feelings about yourself?
Do you feel like an imposter or fraud?
Does your lack of success play on your mind?
We can thank the late Rabbi Dr Abraham J. Twersky for publicising and elucidating the importance and benefits of having healthy self-esteem. Low self-esteem impacts our relationships, our ruchniyus our parnossah, and our ability to bounce back after failure. Unfortunately, low self-esteem has become the norm. We live in a society that badgers us with the subtle message that we are not good enough. Learn about yourself from the bottom up and regain a connection to your own self-worth. Wear your identity with pride! You are good enough!
“Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.”
Brene Brown
Are you unable to break out of the cycle of internet addiction?
Has your willpower to STOP, been exhausted?
Do you feel like you are fighting a losing battle?
Do you do things that make you hate yourself?
Do you live in a cycle of regret?
The overwhelming urge for sexual gratification can feel like a locked room. The shame and guilt rise up and you resolve to be better, and yet a short while later you find yourself once again in an alternative universe where failing is an inevitability.
Your most painful moments can be the greatest catalyst for growth. There will come a time when you wake up in the morning appreciating the way you treat yourself. Let’s work together to create for yourself a gratifying life.
